In 1995, I came to Playa del Secreto with my 2 1/2 year-old twins and found exactly what I was looking for. I immediately fell in love the beach of Playa del Secreto, the villa and the Mayan people. At that time, Playa del Secreto was very isolated with only my family and another home owner living here full time. We could go weeks without seeing another soul on the beach, except our local fisherman. Since then, Playa del Secreto, along with the Playa del Carmen surrounding area has blossomed and grown. Casa del Secreto was the first vacation rental property at Playa del Secreto, as a 5 Star bed and breakfast. Later, Casa del Secreto became available only as an private, upscale, luxury vacation home, as it remains to date.
Our guests' privacy and comfort is always our primary concern. When in residence, my family does have use of the pool but only when it is not in use by our guests. For those guests who have children at Casa del Secreto, my twins, Saylor and Sara love to meet new friends and playmates. Sara loves to teach her new friends how to catch baby crabs and tiny fish in the "fishy pool." Saylor enjoys giving a quick course in Spanish and showing off his really cool playhouse in the garden area. If your desire is a private, peaceful villa with the minimal amount of people around, then Casa del Secreto is the villa of choice. Casa del Secreto is on a large 2 acre beach front lot complete with many coconut trees and consists of only our private residence and the luxur, vacation villa. All other rental properties at Playa del Secreto with a sandy beachfront have 3 or more villas attached side by side on smaller lots. Come, relax in a hammock under a coconut tree. Welcome.
I am Doy Cooper, owner of Casa del Secreto and manager of several other
rental properties in Playa del Secreto and Playa Paraiso. Originally
from Texas, I have spent many years in the Caribbean sailing and knew
I wanted to raise my children near the waters of this beautiful sea,
in a place where natural beauty overflows and crime is not a concern.
Although
my family spends a large amount of time at our private residence in
the lower level villa of Casa del Secreto, we also split our time between
our other home in Cancun and our family home in Texas. If we are in
residence in our private villa during your stay at Casa del Secreto,
I will be happy to share with you my knowledge of the local area that
most tourists never get a chance to see and assist in helping any way
to insure your stay at Casa del Secreto is a most perfect one. In all
cases, my full staff will also take very good care of you.
