Wonderful beach front location and great Margaritas! Favorite item on menu is the whole fried boquinette (the best eating fish in the Caribbean Sea - white flaky meat).

John Gray's Kitchen

Co-owner and chef opened many restaurants around the world for the Ritz Carlton Hotels. 5 Star quality food at inexpensive prices. Try the Tequila Duck! They have opened another restaurant in Playa del Carmen too.

Posada Amor

Local B&B that offers a fabulous breakfast buffet ranging from omelets, pancakes to traditional Mexican dishes. Lunch and dinner service also.

Playa del Carmen is 20 minutes away from Playa del Secreto.

Hemingway's

Probably the most beautiful restaurant as far as decor is concerned with the all natural air Palapa plus the food is great! Live Cuban and Salsa music. Serves great traditional Cuban "Mojito" cocktail.

Yaxche

Serves dishes inspired by the Maya and their cooking traditions, as well as traditional entrees from Yucatan. The restaurant chef has created a fusion of Maya, Yucatecan, and European cuisine for the menu, making the flavors of the Maya more accessible.

La Cueva del Chango

It is a unique restaurant in a natural setting among abundant vegetation and trees. They serve natural Mexican food from breakfast till dinner . The place is very popular with locals . Try the agua de chaya de la casa, a mix of chaya ( mexican spinach), pineaple and orange juice.

Our Favorite Tankha Restaurant

Tankha is 45 minutes away from Playa del Secreto.

Casa Cenote Restaurant

Great restaurant to stop at when you head to Tulum to visit the ruins. Good cold beer, great hamburgers, nachos etc. Sunday is Texas BBQ Day. The restaurant sits between a crystal clear cenote with manatees and the beach. Underground caves run from the cenote and are visited by scuba divers who surface in front of the restaurant at the water's edge. Fresh spring water boils up to the surface from these caves right in front of the restaurant making a dramatic effect, especially when the underground rivers are running full due to recent rain.
