What a wonderful time we all had!  When I planned this vacation with our son
and daughter and spouses and 3 grandchildren under 4 years of age, I was
just hoping for a good house, good weather, and everybody to get along.  I
got that and much more.  A house that really felt like a villa, staff that
catered to our every need, and Doy, who really put herself out for us -
right down to going into town for a new barbecue when the other was in use.
We decided to relax and have many of our dinners cooked for us.  The fresh
lobster was really a standout.  Everything we needed was done for us -
umbrellas, lounges, towels set up for us everyday. Much more than any 5 star
hotel would do. Everyone had a terrific time and we're all hoping to come
back next year. What could be better than this beautiful paradise.  Thanks
again   Doy, Cher, Antonia, and Julio.

I just wanted to say what a great time my family had at Playa Del Secreto
the past two weeks. We did not want to come home. Your staff took excellent
care of us. I was amazed at the reconstruction that you completed after the
hurricane.  My company is a forty year old construction company and we would
have had a tough time achieving what you have in such a short time.  I saw
no signs that a hurricane had struck your property.  Congratulations! We'll
be back.

Our group from Apex NC can't stop smiling when we see each other and talk about our week at Casa Del Secreto. We don't even know how to thank you for making it so special for us.

Our arrival at the airport (both groups) was easy and painless. Our welcome coconut rum drinks on the porch started our week with excitement and anticipation of fun days ahead.

Evette was always pleasant and professional. Accommodating and thorough, she made sure any activity we wanted was scheduled and transportation arranged. What an asset she is to your resort.

Christian and Fernando...always smiling, they were so helpful with driving us all to dinner and to Playa Del Carmen for shopping and night life. They were both eager to make our vacation fun and helped us several times with small things we were willing to get on our own.

Chef Jose and Staff... WOW! A Fabulous Dining Exprience every day! Jose was always so proud of his meals and especially the desserts. After a few days we noticed he hung around to get our reaction to dessert (our favorite food group). The morning staff served excellent breakfasts and the pastries were to die for! They worked with our group and made sure we had food even when some of the group had early activities. We were very pleased with the meal plan. Our group loves to cook and we all enjoyed being pampered by Jose and staff.

The house cleaning staff...you've got a great group working in this capacity. We always had clean towels, clean rooms and fresh water. It was amazing how they kept the floors so clean with us going in and out to the beach. When one of the girls wanted to iron a dress for dinner, the staff started to press all her clothes...not expected, but a generous offer. This group always tried to make sure our stay was comfortable and clean.

Cher, Thanks so much for the calls and making sure the paperwork was handled and answering all the questions. Everything was better than the web site portrays. We were lucky enough to have met your beautiful daughter when she and her friend joined us for dinner. She's got a dynamic personality and you should be proud.

Doy, we can't say enough to thank you. Your life story is an amazing one and we all admire you for taking such a risk and believing in your instincts. You've made your dream into a place that can be shared by so many others for many years. You are obviously a "hands on" manager who leads by example. The quality of your staff is a true representation of your ability to give full concierge service to your guests.

Casa Del Secreto ... beautiful beach, soft sands, turtle nests, breath taking sunrises, great accommodations, easy location to activities, quiet (unless you were at our pool olympics)...this is the best place to spend time with friends, family or just as a couple. We'll be back!

We are still re-living the time we spent with you the last of Feb/first of March for the week. We didn't get to express our gratitude to you and your staff making our stay a real vacation, even with our three little grand-children, who also loved every minute of our time there. I can't say enough great things about Casa del Secreto. This August will be our 3rd time going back.

The family that runs the villas, Doy, Cher, Teen, are lovely people. I've actually met Teen and Doy in person and have spoken to Cher many times. Rest assured, you do not have to worry about sending them money. Everything will be taken care of to your satisfaction and beyond. Their area of responsibility is smoothly taken care of - transportation, reservations and no worry about payments. We actually order quite a bit before we get there - pepsi, snacks, beer, tequila, and the meal plan We send a check in advance to cover it all so that we do not have to stress about stopping anywhere on the way there, or having to deal with getting extra cash.

The house is gorgeous. We stay in the upstairs villa with 3 bedrooms and we do go downstairs to visit with Doy, et al. The first level is beautifully decorated as well, and the daily maid service keeps everything in perfect condition.

Chef Jose is excellent! We take advantage of the meal plan every visit. Last year we ate outside under the palapa in the coconut grove every night - toes in the sand!!!!! The rest of staff is as available as you want them to be for whatever you need.

It is only 41 days until we get there...

I recommend Casa del Secreto without hesitation. My husband and I travel every year with two other couples. All of the men work for the airlines so needless to say we travel frequently. We count our time with Doy and her staff as some of the best vacations we've ever spent. We've been there twice and have plans to return in the future. I understand your apprehension on sending checks to Teen, but we have had absolutely no problems. The last time we went we even paid our entire balance prior to leaving the States because we didn't want to deal with it when we got there. That's how much we felt we could trust Doy and Teen.

As far as the accommodations are concerned -- they are beautiful. I have not rented the lower portion of the house but I have been inside speaking with Doy a couple of times. It is just as nice as the upper half -- if not a little nicer even. You really won't be disappointed. The pool and grounds are relaxing and very private. The beach area is clean and fairly secluded.

I highly recommend you take the services of Jose -- his food is fantastic and it really adds to the vacation to not have to worry about cooking or driving in town for dinner. We thought Jose's meals were far superior to what we had in town -- and at a better price. (Have the tortilla soup -- it is incredible)

If you're looking for a place to really spend time with your friends, I think this is a perfect spot. The staff will keep your beer stocked (Doy's prices are better than the liquor store) and make sure you have everything you need. She is also a perfect hostess -- she'll be around just enough to make sure you are taken care of but not so much that you feel she's part of your group.

Dear Doy,

The beach was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The villas are spectacular being both modern and extremely clean. The views, the food, the ocean, and every part of staying at Playa del Secreto was exactly what we needed. The location is perfect being located so close by car to everything yet so isolated and safe.

I was initially skeptical booking something that I had only seen pictures of on the Internet. If anyone is considering booking a villa via Doy at Playa del Secreto and sharing my initial concerns, I can assure you: Don't worry, you will be very happy!

Now that we are home in Seattle and it is raining sideways, we are sure missing Playa del Secreto! What a beautiful beach, home and family you have. Your staff was so accommodating. We were so thrilled with the meal plan; the food was delicious, the service awesome, and we didn't have to clean up! It was such a great value and so nice not to have to leave to go get dinner. It made it much more relaxing. It sure beats a hotel with several hundred to several thousand other guests. Thank you also for all your assistance planning our tours. It was a magical and most memorable vacation.

We rented her Casa del Secreto property last year, I'm not sure where that is in relation to the one you are planning to rent. We booked it again for this year-- we loved it. The best endorsement I can give is that we plan to return. We travel each year with two other couples, in the past 5 years we have never repeated a location, choosing instead to find a new adventure. It was unanimous to go back to Casa del Secreto. The home we stayed in was clean and beautifully furnished. Comfortable queen size beds and nice thick towels.

Doy is a perfect hostess. She has great ideas to help you make the most of your vacation and she knows all the best activities -- she set us up on the best snorkeling day trip we've every experienced. She and her staff know exactly when to be available and when to give you privacy. The chef meal plan is fantastic and a great deal as well. Jose, the chef, prepares authentic Yucatan meals that are better than anything we found in Playa del Carmen.

We vacationed with the intention of sitting in the sun, relaxing, and enjoying the company of our friends. This was the perfect place. It's safe, even early in the morning and late at night. The beach is private -- no one to bug you. And my husband's favorite part -- the staff brought beer to us right on the beach in a cooler! If you want night life you can travel into Playa del Carmen or Cancun.

Trust me I'm not being paid to say this -- we loved it. I would highly recommend you give it a try. (It's supposed to snow here today in Minnesota -- thanks for giving me something tropical to remember.)

Here's what we've come up with - incredible, paradise, perfection, fabulous, extraordinary, magnificent - I'm sure you get the point. Your home is beautiful, your staff anticipates every need, and your hospitality is second to none.

We will be back; actually we may never go anywhere else. This is the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation, the ideal place to spend time with family and friends. Thanks again - see you next year.

Hi, Doy- we just wanted to send a quick thanks for the most amazing holiday! We thoroughly enjoyed every second at Casa del Secreto, and understand why you have named it such- what an amazing secret you have! I just emailed my Mom, and told her that we couldn't even tear ourselves away for one day trip to the ruins, or cenote snorkeling, for fear that we would miss a moment at your beautiful hideaway. It was made even better by getting to know you, Saylor and Sarah, your Mom and Jack, and, of course, Max, and Jose, and the rest of your staff.
